Anita Zielina is the Director of Leadership and Innovation at CUNY’s Newmark J-School in New York City, where she runs all executive education and leadership initiatives. Before that, she was a senior executive charged with driving digital transformation and innovation in several media organizations. The latest was Switzerland’s NZZ Media group, where she was Chief Product Officer and part of the executive management board. Before that, Zielina was deputy editor-in-chief at Stern, the German news weekly, and worked as a journalist and editor at Der Standard, a newspaper and daily news website in Vienna, Austria. She received an executive MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France (2017) and a Master in Law from Vienna University (2006) and is an alumna of the JSK fellowship at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California (2012). In 2018, she was a visiting fellow at the Reuters Institute at Oxford University, researching and teaching about transformation and leadership in media organizations.
