Fatima is a Marketing strategy executive and leader in Global Sustainable Development with a proven track record of over 30 years in the airline industry. She helds an advanced NIMA marketing diploma and a HEC Paris Executive Certificate in Sustainable Transition Management, speaking regularly at sustainability panels and round tables.
In addition to her professional life, Fatima has been a passionate evangelist of sustainable and just practices. Enriched by travelling the globe and being close to other cultures, she was involved over 10 years as volunteer in the commercial development of Fair Trade.

Career Highlights:

  • Responsible for the development of the dual-brand strategy after the merger of Air France and KLM and the subsequent repositioning and refreshment of the KLM brand. Involved in setting up the first company CSR activities.
  • Member of the first Sky Team airline alliance management team, helped launch the central office organization and it strategic direction, as well as build its brand and communications function. Initiated and ran a Sustainability Working Group.
  • Joined the Air France-KLM Group to set up its new function as Director Group Brand Portfolio & Media Strategy, renewed the identity of the Group, established a brand positioning model and a brand performance program across all Group brands and drove the rebrand of marketing programs such as Flying Blue and BlueBiz.
  • Presently the VP Sustainability of Air France-KLM with the task to strengthen and accelerate strategic initiatives to achieve an ambitious decarbonisation trajectory and engage with key internal and external stakeholders aiming to reinforce the Group’s commitments and reputation in terms of sustainability vis-à-vis its competitors.
