As a Professor of Digital Strategy & Cybersecurity at the Institute for Management Development (IMD), Öykü is passionate about studying the way disruptive technologies challenge our society and organizations, and how this tension can be fostered for responsible innovation. A computer scientist by training, Öykü has received her PhD from the University of North Texas, with a focus of business intelligence and analytics. Digital resilience is one particular focus for Öykü these days. She has worked with organizations in industries such as financial services and technology, to understand how consumer concerns around cyber security, data privacy and digital ethics shape organizations’ approach towards building competitive advantage through digital disruption.
