Angela is a Chartered Accountant and spent her formative years working in Private Equity and Project Finance. She has spent 18 years as a CEO in the financial services industry in South Africa. Her experience is in running Non-Life, Life businesses, Insurance distribution businesses and Insurance Companies. She was the Executive responsible for Insurance (Life & Non-Life) at Standard Bank, the largest insurer by Assets in Africa, during which period she was instrumental in guiding the Bancassurance business through regulatory shifts and leading the digital transformation for the short-term insurance business. She joined Hollard in 2016 (the largest privately owned insurer in SA) as a CEO to run the Partnership business (Bancassurance & “Retail assurance”). She has transitioned to now being a Shareholder Partner and CEO of Hollard Group Risk, one of the largest  insurers in SA providing Group Risk Solutions to large Employee Benefit schemes.
