Naomi Kresge has reported on health care and the pharmaceutical industry for more than a decade at the global financial newswire Bloomberg, with a focus for the past year on the Covid-19 pandemic. She has written extensively on the search for Covid vaccines and European government efforts to stem the spread of the virus.

Naomi joined Bloomberg in 2008, based first in Zurich and then Berlin. She took a two-year break from health writing to work as an editor on the newswire’s automotive team. There she helped guide coverage of the Volkswagen diesel scandal.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Naomi was a Fulbright journalism fellow in Berlin. She also reported on local governments in Southern California for the Riverside Press-Enterprise and other newspapers. Naomi studied English and German literature at the College of Wooster and the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and is a recipient of the Arthur F. Burns Fellowship.
